Exploring Unexplored villages in Manali , Himachal Pradesh .
Baragran, Manali
Two Unexplored offbeat hidden gems in lap of Himalayas near Manali valley.
Looking for offbeat places to visit near Manali in
summers!?
Visit Kashari village and nayalag village (also spelt
as niyalag ),20 kilometer's from patlikuhal in Baragan road .
This travel blog is about the unexplored off beat
destinations ,treks and soothing sites in kullu Manali (Himachal Pradesh).
I think lot of us are nature lovers and the lovers of
peace, so I thought to write a travelogue about this unexplored beautiful
valley and tell people about these two pleasing and mesmerizing hidden villages
of Manali valley, and let them know what things they can /should explore and do
here.
My journey to Niyalag and Kashari village !
I started my journey with bike from my home (baragran)
which is just 16 kilometer's before niyalag village and 20 kilometer's from
Kashari. from baragran to niyalag you can be amused of the valley view, the
view of pine trees, floating river Vyas while enjoying the bike ride with cool
breeze!
The actual distance from patlikuhal to niyalag and
Kashari is 24 kilometer's and about 4 kilometer's before Kashari ,lies the town
of nayalag .you will be surprised to know that ,there are no guest house in any
of these villages ;but nearby there are guest house and one famous three star
resort named as span resorts and spa in pandramil which is just downside the
baragran village near nh-3 but visiting them on a day trip from your
destination will be much better for you .The roads were fully metaled in both
of these villages .Also ,there were only 15-20 houses and the total population
of these village was nearly 100 .These villages are the smallest, still among
the most beautiful villages of Manali valley .
When you will finish nayalag village road, you will
enter pine forest. the forest will give you incredible pleasure of calmness and
closeness to the nature. At the same time, it will astonish you with the
temperature change, as you will enter the pine forest, temperature would
suddenly get decreased and the cold breeze will start blowing.
1 kilometer from Kashari village there is an
astounding waterfall known as gloon waterfall. you can click pictures as
memorable moments and enjoy lunch with an amazing view of waterfall and valley. you can even meditate here, as it is the best place for those who are fond of
serenity and peacefulness. only nature Speakes here, sole voice of birds, voice
of tree leaves, voice of waterfall can be heard here .
Gloon waterfall connects two local roads kasheri to
hallan -2 village. you can explore this place too; this site is known for its
charm and for angry god of Manali. I will write another travelogue on this
village.
Maximum houses in both of these villages were of
kathkuni architecture with their base made of wood, stone, and mud, and the roof, either made of tin or a refined form of slate.
In kasheri village there is one natural spring
waterspot .you can ask villagers about the origin of this natural spring water
and they will answer you that in their local language it is called jairu water
.jairu means natural water coming out from soil .In summers the water coming
from this source is cool and in winters it comes lukewarm ,another thing to be
amused of !it is believed by the people of village that in ancient times this
jairu spring water spot was the spot of king .the stones around the spot are
carved with beautiful old architecture and paintings of god and goddesses on
stones .locals found this spring water spot in lockdown during covid -19 in
2020.
One mystical thing about these pine forests is that
wild hazelnuts are found in these forests, very few people know wild hazelnuts are present here; I was also
not knowing but one person in my village had done PhD, so he told me that wild
hazelnuts are found in these pine forests.
That’s all about my first travelogue, by Shreyaasker Negi.
